 The North American Association for the Diaconate (NAAD) (www.diakonoi.org): As an unofficial organization of deacons and others in the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church in Canada, this organization serves about 2000 deacons and 80 dioceses with diaconate programs. This site also presents information on the proposed Title III canons, which include canons on the ordination of deacons and their "life and work." The Rev. Katherine Salinaro is a past-president of NAAD.   Deacon Jo Weber is Membership Director. Dean Rod Dugliss is a director.

Ecumenical Links

  The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA): The Episcopal Church and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America began a relationship of full communion on January 8, 2001. Clergy from either denomination may serve in churches. The ELCA also trains and licenses persons as diaconal ministers.

 Diakonia World Federation (http://www.diakonia-world.org):  Based in the Netherlands.  Aims to further ecumenical dialogue between  Diaconal Associations and Communities, and to further a sense of diaconia in churches and congregations.
