The School for Deacons has been preparing Deacons for service in several dioceses since 1980. The program is tailored to meet the needs of working adults - meeting on 12 weekends a year, plus a weekend retreat.
We meet on the campus of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, a founding member of the Graduate Theological Union. The location is ideal, with well-equipped classrooms, access to a world-class theological library, and inexpensive on campus housing for those who travel from a great distance.
Because of its setting, the school is able to attract an extraordinarily fine faculty and to create a powerful, deacon-led community of formation.
